Blackwood’s team is led by Mark Blackwood and Sonnie Sonnenfeld, both time-served former Royal Engineers with the British Army who’ve taken their skills, commitment, and dedication to build a business that delivers.
Founded in Newcastle, Blackwood was born out of the belief that building and maintenance should not be disjointed. We saw clients juggling multiple contractors – one for build, one for handover, one for maintenance.
Our mission: to offer a single accountable partner, covering the full lifecycle of commercial spaces.
Our team is composed of trade-experts – electricians, plumbers, joiners and decorators, all under one management structure. We’re CHAS-certified, committed to health & safety and we continuously invest in training, accreditation and sustainable practices.
